Bradford Joseph Te Apatuoterangi Maaka Haami
Chairman
Bradford Joseph Te Apatuoterangi Maaka Haami, of the Oliphant Stewart whānau, is proudly connected to Ngāti Hokopū. As Chairperson of Wairaka Marae Trust, he brings strong governance and public speaking skills to his role.
For Bradford, Wairaka Marae is a tūrangawaewae for himself, his whānau, and the wider hapū. His vision is for Wairaka to stand as a central governance and operational hub for Ngāti Hokopū, strengthening its role within the rohe.
Outside of marae mahi, Bradford has a deep passion for history, whakapapa, reading, and writing. Inspired by his ancestors, who were also prolific writers, he has continued their legacy as an author.

Terri Wilkins
Trustee
Terri Wilkins (Ngāti Hokopu, Wairaka) is connected through her Kuia Ngahuia Rowson (Merritt whānau) and great-grandmother Annie Savage (Stowell whānau), also linking her to Ngāti Rangitihi. She grew up in the marae kitchen with Aunty Irene Mokai, surrounded by stories and laughter.
With over 35 years in finance, Terri brings expertise and a commitment to intergenerational relationships to her role as Treasurer and Trustee, supporting the marae wherever needed.
For Terri, Wairaka Marae is a place of aroha and belonging. She hopes it continues to be a hub for whānau to gather, uphold traditions, and pass on stories to future generations. Her guiding message is: “Live each day as if it were your last. Be kind to everyone, and most importantly, to yourself.”
